The Avon Maitland District School Board (AMDSB) serves the students and families of Huron and Perth Counties. There are 11 secondary schools and 42 elementary schools serving the educational needs of approximately 19,000 students.
The goals of the AMDSB are:1) To improve student achievement in literacy and numeracy.
2) To promote the development of positive citizenship qualities in our students.
3) To attract and retain quality staff.

| Huron County Child Abuse Prevention Committee: |
The mission of the Huron County Child Abuse Prevention Committee is to strengthen families and prevent the incidence of child abuse. Since 1987, our agency has been delivering programs to children and families through our parent education programs, parent support services, Personal Safety Education for children with disabilities, and community education awareness programs.
Within the community we offer training to professionals in programming which helps prevent bullying and builds on children's self esteem and respect for others. We offer parent education programs also to give parents the information which they need on this issue.

| The Huron County Health Unit: |
The Huron County Health Unit recognizes that there are many factors that affect health, including level of income, education, social supports, relationships, access to services, family history, and healthy lifestyles. The Health Unit works together with community groups, social services, police and health care agencies, municipal and county councils, other county departments and many provincial ministries to help empower individual and communities to improve their health and well being.
The Huron County Health Unit provides a variety of programs and health related services including the availability of Public Health Nurses in local high schools, Health Link Clinics, Healthy Babies Healthy Children Programs etc. Huron County Health Unit's multi-disciplinary team of health professionals takes pride in their roles as partners and consultants in health promotion and disease prevention.
The Huron County Health Unit works in conjunction with a wide variety of community partners on a variety of specialized programs that target youth in our community. We share the concerns of youth and the identified need for the development of specialized supports and services. We believe the development of strong partnerships with youth will be the most positive action to support sustainable change relating to the issue of violence and bullying in our communities.

| Victim Services of Huron County |
Victim is dedicated to providing short term emotional support, practical assistance and community referral to victims of crime, trauma and tragic circumstance in partnership with community and emergency services. Victim Services offers a crisis intervention service
that can assist the individual or family for the long-term. Crisis assistance is given by specially trained volunteers to those in need.
Services offered to victims are free of charge.
The main objectives for the program are:
- to lesson the trauma for victims
- to assist police, fire and other emergency services in meeting the needs of victims
- to help victims cope with the impact of crime, tragic circumstance and/or trauma
- to provide an opportunity for community members to become more involved in dealing with the effects of crime and victimization
- to educate community members about victim services in Huron County

| Perth District Health Unit |
The mission of the Perth District Health Unit is to work in partnership with our community to foster conditions in which people can be healthy. We promote health, protect health, prevent disease and provide community health services for the people of Perth County.
The Perth District Health Unit provides programs and services to promote healthy lifestyle choices, prevent injuries and disease, and protect individuals and families. These include healthy eating and physical activity; alcohol and substance abuse prevention; pregnancy support, parenting and child safety; cancer prevention; immunization and communicable disease investigation and control; food safety; safe drinking water; and emergency response. We also offer Perth County residents a variety of clinics such as Health Connection drop-in, Immunization Clinic, Sexual Health Clinic, Family Connection, Dental Screening and Stop Smoking Clinic.
The Perth District Health Unit offers public health services to schools to enhance the health and well being of students in Perth County. Health Unit staff work with students, teachers, parents and school councils to provide health education through knowledge and skills development, information, consultation and support services, community development and policy support.
